Figma - Collaborative design and prototyping in the browser
Figma is a collaborative, vector-based design and prototyping tool for UI/UX that is used in the browser and via a desktop app. It supports the creation of user interfaces, user flows and interactive prototypes with states, transitions and micro-interactions. It is characterized by real-time collaboration with multiple cursors, comment-based feedback, version history and differentiated approvals. Components, styles, variants, auto layout, constraints and variables promote consistent, responsive designs and theming; team libraries and design sistem management facilitate reuse and governance. For handover to development, Figma provides specifications, measurements, asset export and code snippets; the dev mode bundles these views. An extensive selection of plugins and widgets extends the range of functions, for example for accessibility checks, asset management or automation. FigJam complements workshops, user journeys and architectural sketches as a collaborative whiteboard environment. Cloud storage, role-based access, file versioning, branching and merge workflows support scalable, traceable collaboration.
